Galaxy S6 pressure test and breaking point

By

The newest Samsung device, Galaxy S6 has been tested for its bendable breaking point like the Apple product, iPhone 6 Plus. The result? Both devices have a problem after a high pressure and this is normal if we think that both devices are not described by the producer as bendable devices.
iPhone 6 Plus is a 5.5 inch smartphone with Full HD display, the first Apple Full HD display. Apple display is protected by an Ion-strengthened glass which makes it more resistant of scratches than older iPhone version. Under the hood, we find a better processor, the Apple A8 chip, dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone and a PowerVR GX 6450 graphic card. As we used, Apple device does not have a memory slot card and is available in three storage version: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 128 GB. The RAM memory is just 1 GB.
iPhone 6 Plus

Galaxy S6 is a 5.1 inches device and is using a Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The Korean device is using the own processor, Exynos 7420, a quad-core A53 chip and a quad-core A 57 version. The video card is a Mali-T760MP8 chip which offer a high-quality video play. Like the Apple device, this time, Samsung give it up the memory card and offer three variants of internal storage memory: 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB. All of these are powered by 3 GB of RAM.

Pressure test

The pressure test has been made by an American insurance company for the best devices of the 2015 beginning, iPhone 6 Plus, Galaxy S6 and HTC M9. We are talking today about two first devices.
iPhone 6 Plus has been tested from 1 pound to 179 pounds to reach the breaking point. The bending point has been discovered at 110 pond when the device bent, ant applying pressure to 179 pounds has been discovered the breaking point(complete damage).
Galaxy S6 has been tested from 1 pound to 149 pounds. The bending point has been set at 110 pounds like the Apple device, but the breaking point(complete damage) is lower than the iPhone 6 Plus, at 149 pounds.

If we take a look at the bending point, both devices seem to be at the same line. If we talk about the breaking point, Apple device could be better than the Samsung device, having a better pressure resistance.
As I said, no device has been called by the producer to be flexible or bendable. This is a normal thing to happen when the pressure is high on the device. The First time, the case is bending including the device display and after the pressure grows up, both, display and case are breaking making the devices unusable.
If we take is serious the rumors, the future devices will use flexible displays and flexible cases which can make those devices more resistant and more bendable and even rollable. Samsung has already had the display technology and more than sure is developing the “flexible body” for their first real flexible device.
